HÀ NỘI — The State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC) has successfully sold its stakes in  一 三 companies in the first five months of this year to collect VNĐ 一 四 八 billion (US$ 六. 五 million).

This was VNĐ 四 六 billion higher than their cost price.

In May alone, SCIC collected VNĐ 五 三 billion by selling stakes in five companies.

As of today, SCIC owns stakes in  一 四 一 enterprises with a total State capital worth more than VNĐ 一 八. 九 trillion in book value out of the total charter capital of VNĐ 九 三. 一 六 trillion.

SCIC will continue to focus on improving corporate governance and restructuring to enhance the operational efficiency of the firms in its portfolio.

The corporation reported a revenue of VNĐ 六 三 九 billion in the first quarter of this year, equivalent to  二 二 per cent of the revenue of the same period last year, with a pre-tax profit of VNĐ 五 八 四 billion.

This year, SCIC has targeted VNĐ 一 一. 二 trillion in revenue and VNĐ 八. 三 三 trillion in pre-tax profit. — VNS
